Autoplot
ACTIVEUnify data analysis and plotting in one powerful workspace
Launched July 20, 2026
About Autoplot
Autoplot is a native macOS application that unifies data import, analysis, plotting, and publishing in a single workspace. It lets users import CSV or SFTP files, merge headers, apply Python‑based transformations, and use built‑in scientific tools such as histograms, heat maps, 3D plots, CCD, AUC, power‑law fits, and correlation matrices. An on‑device AI assistant can generate Python/Matplotlib code, run it locally, and help compose multi‑panel figures. Results can be exported as print‑ready vector PDFs, PNGs, or JPGs, all while keeping data private on the user’s machine.

Capabilities
Data Import
Import tabular data from local files or SFTP with one click, set delimiters, headers, encoding, and merge files without writing code.
Python‑Powered Transformations
Apply splicing, filtering, or derived variables on import using assistant‑generated Python that runs locally.
Scientific Plotting
Create X‑Y plots, histograms with Gaussian/mixed fits, heat maps, 3D scatter/surface/line plots, and categorical charts.
Analysis Toolkit
Perform CCD, AUC, log‑binned distributions, power‑law and truncated fits, scaling relations, correlation matrices, and network analyses.
AI Assistant
Conversational interface that reads schema (not raw data), suggests Python/Matplotlib code, and can orchestrate import, analysis, plotting, and export actions locally.
Export & Publication
Export figures as print‑ready vector PDFs at journal DPI with embedded fonts, as well as PNG and JPG, supporting iterative updates without re‑running scripts.
Data Privacy & Local‑First
All processing occurs on the Mac; the assistant never sends raw data to the cloud, ensuring full data privacy.
Use Cases
Rapid Coursework Plots
Generate fitted plots and journal‑quality PDFs directly from lab CSVs for assignment deadlines.
